Circular Farm

An integrated farm for curious minds

Green Valley is a working integrated farm and educational centre outside Nairobi. Every enterprise on the farm feeds into another — manure becomes biogas, biogas cooks feed, slurry fertilises crops, crops feed animals. Children don't just observe — they participate.

Sustainability

The circular economy in action

Children trace a piece of dung from cow pat → digester → gas flame → cooked food → slurry → growing kale → cow feed. One input. Zero waste.

1
🐄
Livestock Manure
Cows, goats, rabbits & sheep produce organic waste daily
2
⚗️
Biogas Digester
Anaerobic bacteria break down waste, producing methane gas
3
🔥
Biogas → Energy
Powers cooking, lighting, and hatchery temperature control
4
💧
Slurry Fertiliser
Rich effluent pumped directly to vegetable and fruit beds
5
🥬
Healthy Crops
Vegetables, fruits, and fodder thrive without synthetic inputs
6
🌾
Feed the Animals
Crop waste and fodder return to livestock — the cycle repeats
